A conference with the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply, Tereza Cristina Corrêa da Costa Dias, was held on October 17, 2019, at the Rio Branco Institute.
A graduate in agricultural engineering by the Federal University of Viçosa (state of Minas Gerais), Tereza Cristina was Secretary for Agrarian Development of Production, of Industry, of Trade and of Tourism in Mato Grosso do Sul state. In 2014, she was elected congresswoman, and reelected in 2018, when she took leave from that position to take over the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (MAPA). During her presentation, destined primarily for the students of the Rio Branco Institute, the Minister recalled milestones from her trajectory and spoke on her work in the Ministry.
The event was attended by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Otávio Brandelli; Secretary of Foreign Trade and Economic Affairs, Ambassador Norberto Moretti; Secretary for Communication and Culture, Ambassador Márcia Donner; MAPA Secretary for Foreign Trade and Relations, Ambassador Orlando Leite Ribeiro; and General Director of the Rio Branco Institute, Ambassador Maria Stela Pompeu Brasil Frota, among other officials from the Itamaraty and MAPA.
