VI Workshop for African Diplomats
The Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation, along with the Undersecretariat General for Africa and the Middle East of the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will hold the “VI Workshop for African Diplomats” during the period of 13 to 21 October 2016, in the cities of Brasilia and Rio de Janeiro.
The initiative has the purpose of contributing to the promotion of mutual knowledge, the exchange of ideas and the approximation of Brazil to the participating Francophone countries: Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Gabon, Guinea, Morocco, Mauritania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Senegal, Togo, and Tunisia. After the first workshop, held in 2010, FUNAG organized editions for Anglophone (2011 e 2015), Francophone (2012), and Lusophone (2013) countries.
In addition to authorities, scholars, journalists, and Brazilian diplomats, the IV Workshop will include visits to Brazilian institutions such as BNDES, Embrapa, the Operations Center of the Rio de Janeiro’s Mayor’s Office, museums, and others.
