Brazil-China Innovation Dialogue 2016
The Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation (FUNAG) and the Institute for Brazil-China Studies (IBRACH) held the third edition of the event “Brazil-China Innovation Dialogue” on 22 and 23 November, at Itamaraty Palace in Rio de Janeiro. The seminar was dedicated to the theme of China’s global investments and Chinese investments in Brazil.
The event’s opening included contributions from the President of FUNAG, Ambassador Sérgio E. Moreira Lima, as well as the Undersecretary-General for Asia and the Pacific, Ambassador Maria Luiza Ribeiro Viotti; the General Consul of China to Brazil, Li Yan; and the Director of IBRACH, Professor Anna Jaguaribe.
The Innovation Dialogue is an annual activity stemming from existing agreements in the field of Science and technology between the two countries, especially the High Level Dialogue on Science and Technology, and the 10-Year Cooperation Plan organized by the Brazilian and the Chinese Ministries of Science and Technology.
